An emerging force on the NY film scene, Rod Gailes OBC is a University of Michigan graduate and alumnus of the prestigious NYU graduate film program. There he studied under noted filmmakers, Raoul Peck and Nancy Savoca before directing the award winning classic, “Twin Cousins.” A Regional Student Academy Award Finalist, winner of the HBO Short Film Competition, and best short film in New York’s Urbanworld Film Festival, the film went on to further acclaim, winning the Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival and being featured at the Kodak Emerging Filmmaker Showcase in Cannes. Recently featured on "BET J's the Best Shorts".

Rod's first feature film, "Camouflage" will premiere In Rod's hometown, Detroit Michigan on May 1st at 7:00pm.

Enter Jason Robbie. Jason is a 19-year old ‘Harlemite’ trying to find his place in the world a year after graduating high school. With dubious sources of income, family problems, an obsession with ‘shorties,’ it’s hard to imagine college in immediate his future. Shot as a documentary peppered with real interviews of some of Jason’s neighbors, we watch a young man come to the realization that no matter the circumstance, there is always choice. “Camouflage” is honest, gritty and captures the essence of a very specific place and time in American culture. Harlem NYC, pre-Starbucks, international chain department stores and real-estate boom. “Camouflage” offers the viewer a window into the otherwise private subculture of urban youth.
