ARTIST SERIES: CAROL FRYD, Painter & Digital Artist
“I used to wonder if Picasso was a god,” recalled Fryd. A Florida native, Fryd has been called a
pioneer of digital art. Fryd produces abstractions in a glowing realm of lush landscapes, striking sill life and
portraiture. “Paintings on canvas have
evolved into a compelling computer-assisted amalgam of drawing, painting,
collage, photography, and digital wizardry,” said Elisa Turner, an
award-winning critic for ARTnews. Fryd is currently featured in FRYD ON FIRE, a
solo show on exhibition at The Jewish Museum of Florida through October 20,
2013 and Twenty Shades of Gray at Zadok Gallery in the Miami art district through July 29, 2013.
