Calling all SINGERS, POETS, LYRICISTS, DANCERS, ACTORS!!!

Well darlings, here is an opportunity to get in on the ground level of a fantastic production that is destined to reach great heights! If you are in the Detroit area, will be or are willing to be there for the rehearsal and performance period, I urge you to audition. If you are not a performer don't worry, you are officially invited to attend the performance! Look out for reminders as performance dates draw near.

TABLE READ / REHEARSAL AUDITION


Thursday November 13, 2008 - 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm
New York filmmaker/playwright Rod Gailes OBC and Darnell Ishmel are seeking vibrant Detroit area talent for upcoming Michigan/New York productions of the new original off-Broadway musical "COLORS: Dream Of the MASTA."

A theatrical experience in the spirit of "HAIR", this original song cycle uses rock, pop, folk, gospel, and contemporary art song to chronicle American's social and political journey to its higher self.
Rehearsal period: November 24 through December 11th

Performance: December 12 - 14, 2008

Location: Marlene Boll Theatre, downtown Detroit

Must be over the age of 15. Ability to move, speak clearly, take direction is a must. This is a non-union call.

Natural talent, dedication, and ability to work effectively with others is more important than experience.
